In one of our favorite spring color palettes too. Bring on the peachy- pinks!
entrance flowers greet guests as they arrive at New Orleans Country Club
I love a good statement entrance. It's a great way to announce, "it's time to party".
We started the morning early, maybe 8am, decorating the entrace canopy at the New Orleans Country Club. In the overhead interior of the canopy, we swagged lush trailing smilax to enclose the space and make it feel more intimate.
hanging roses from overhead
To add even more dimension overhead, we dropped 150 rose stems from the overhead greens at varying heights to give the guests something to walk through as they made their way to the entrance. It's all about the experience these days.
over the door floral arch install at New Orleans Country Club
And our last addition to the entrance space was a large 10' wide, over the door floral arch piece in lush pinks and peaches with trailing greens.
The family wanted to create a major entrance moment for guests and I think we definitely pulled that off.
guest book entrance at New Orleans Country Club wedding
Upon entering New Orleans Country Club, we created a mirroring, small scale, version of what we designed outside using NOCC's entry table and chandelier.
We added light touches of greenery in the chandelier and dropped a couple roses at varying heights. On NOCC's entry table, we created a lush floral hedge in the center of the table with accenting candles.
Bringing a little springtime inside to greet your guests as they walk in.
planter box stage front florals
I think one of the most impactful smaller installations you can do at a wedding is a floral stage front. It's dramatic, directly in front of your guests all night and just a gorgeous statement piece. And great for photography, always in the background of your party shots.
Here we designed a 24' floral stage front full of garden roses and lush pink hydrangeas. Perfect backdrop to spend the night dancing away in front of.
dining room overview
When designing flowers for a dining space, I love mixing taller arrangements for some height and to give your room some dimension, with lower lush compote style florals. It breaks up the room and creates a little drama.
tall glass arrangement surrounded by petite compotes and candles
And to take it a step further for your tables with taller arrangements, I love a little mix of petite compotes and candles at the base. Helps fill out the space under the arrangements and add a little color.
This is a great style for reserved tables as well.
low, lush brass compote of garden style flowers
And on other tables we placed our classic low, lush compote. My favorite brass vessels filled with flowers and greens, but keeping our focus on the floral. Spring is such a great time for flowers, we have to show them off!
dining room at a New Orleans Country Club wedding, tall and low arrangements
While the renovations at New Orleans Country Club are beautiful, there is no wallpaper more beautiful than what they originally had in their dining room. I need it to decorate my living room.
Founder's Room mantel decor
A fun spot to add a little color at your wedding at New Orleans Country Club are the mantels. For this wedding, we opted not to decorate the main mantel because it was going to be hidden behind the band. Our stage front florals in that room provided enough of a statement that it wasn't necessary.
So to add a pop to the Founder's Room, we decorated the mantel with flowers and candles.
a lush little bar accent hedge at New Orleans Country Club
After decorating tables, we focus on the accent pieces. We created lush little hedges of blush and peach florals to add some color and pop to the bars.
Those pink hydrangeas were the start of the show.
lounge space by Distressed Rentals
And another unique way to add a pop of color at your wedding is the lounge space. Here we used one of our fave garden brass compotes to accent Distressed's beautiful neutral and blush lounge furniture.
A beautiful spot for guests to relax with a cocktail.
springtime palette bridal bouquet
On to the personals. I LOVE designing bouquets.
I love picking out the florals, I love choosing the colors. And I always joke that spring florals really do my job for me, they're so incredibly beautiful and full, that it really does make my job so much easier.
We went with a color palette of a neutral base with accents of blush, pale pink and peaches. We had stunning garden roses, huge peonies and peachy-peach ranunculus. Truly springtime in a bouquet.
bridesmaids bouquets in spring hues
And I loved getting the gallery images back from Catherine Guidry and seeing the fun bridesmaids' dresses in a floral print that complimented the bouquets perfectly.
Each detail complimented the next, creating a stunning springtime wedding at New Orleans Country Club.
